José Doroteo Arango Arámbula (San Juan del Río, Durango, June 5, 1878-Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, July 20, 1923), known by his pseudonym Francisco Villa or by his hypocoristic Pancho Villa, was a Mexican soldier who He stood out as one of the main leaders of the Mexican Revolution recognized as a popular icon of Mexican culture, whose military performance was decisive in the defeat of the regime of then-President Victoriano Huerta.
